Jul. 14, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly higher on Tuesday morning, tracking overnight gains on Wall Street.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,088 points, up 0.26% or 8 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.72% or 91 points higher at 12,752 points.
