Jul. 6, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly higher on Monday morning, tracking gains from the previous closing.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,091.48 points, up 0.10% or 3.11 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.35% or 43.03 points higher at 12,301.92 points.
