China Unicom to unveil Android-powered Uphone soon

Jun. 12, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd<600050><0762><CHU>, the country's second largest telecom operator, is expected to unveil a smartphone powered by Google's Android operating system later this month, sources reported.The new smartphone uses China Unicom's self-developed UniPlus platform and will thus be called the Uphone.
