Jun. 3, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Wednesday morning.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 2,722.27 points, down 0.07% or 2.03 points from the previous closing.

The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.11% or 11.21 points lower at 10,473.12 points.
