Haier Group to buy 20% stake in Fisher & Paykel Appliances

May. 29, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Haier Group, the fourth largest white goods manufacturer in the world and parent of both Haier Electronics Group Co Ltd<1169> and Qingdao Haier Co Ltd<600690>, on Wednesday announced it will buy a 20% stake in Auckland-based Fisher & Paykel Appliances (F&P Appliances), as per industry sources.The Chinese company will pay between NZ$80 million a
