Hang Seng Index opens 404 points higher on Wed

May. 27, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Wednesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 404 points higher at 17,396.The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 217 points higher at 9,901.
