PetroChina to acquire 45% stake in Singapore Petroleum

May. 25, 2009 (China Knowledge) - PetroChina<601857><0857><PTR> announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Petrochina International Co Ltd (Chinaoil), has offered to spend S$1.47 billion to acquire a 45.51% stake in Singapore Petroleum Company Ltd from Keppel Corp Ltd, sources reported.PetrChina will purchase 234.5 million shares in Singapore Petroleum, Keppel's entire sta
