HSBC to issue first RMB bonds worth at least RMB 1 bln

May 22, 2009 (China Knowledge) - HSBC Holdings Plc<0005><HBC> will issue RMB-denominated bonds for the first time within two months, the official Xinhua News reported, citing Wang Dongsheng, HSBC's executive director. HSBC will issue at least RMB 1 billion in bonds said Wang. Mainland regulators require that the amount of issuance be less than the total amount of RMB deposits in Hong
