BYD chairman sells 11.177 mln shares to overseas investors

May 22, 2009 (China Knowledge) - BYD Co<1211>, which is not only an automaker but also China's largest maker of rechargeable batteries, said on Wednesday that Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu has sold 11.177 million shares in the company to BYD's overseas investors for HK$279 million in total at HK$25 apiece, sources reported.
