May 21, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), parent of the nation's largest oil refiner, PetroChina<601857><0857><PTR>, said it had secured approval from the government to begin constructing a natural gas plant in Inner Mongolia in 2009 to process output from a joint venture with Total, a France-based oil titan, sources reported on Tuesday.
