BYD Electronic to buy handset charger business from BYD

May. 4, 2009 (China Knowledge) - BYD Electronic (International) Co Ltd<0285>, a handset components subsidiary of BYD Co Ltd<1211>, says it has agreed to acquire the handset charger business from its controlling shareholder BYD for RMB 51 million. BYD Electronic said in a statement that the acquisition is expected to help it expand its handset business. The subsidiary earlier said its
