Apr. 30, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China Eastern Airlines Ltd<600115><0670><CEA>, the country's third-largest carrier, on Tuesday said its net profit slumped 80.98% year on year to RMB 40.1 million during the quarter ended Mar. 31, sources reported.
The Shanghai-based carrier attributed the decrease in net profit to weak demand amid the global financial crisis.
