Hang Seng Index opens 212.81 points higher on Wed

Apr. 29, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Wednesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 212.81 points higher at 14,767.92. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 125.68 points higher at 8,610.90.
