Chalco suffers 50% profit decline

Jan. 29, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Aluminum Corp of China (Chalco)<601600><2600><ACH>, China's largest aluminum producer, announced that its profit in 2008 probably reached less than RMB 5 billion, down 50% year on year due to dropping prices and declining demand.
