000100>, a major Chinese television and mobile phone manufacturer, sold 1.45 million LCD TVs in April, 81.65% more than in March, according to a statement filed with the
Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Of the total sales, 339,300 were smart TVs and 145,900 were 3D TVs.
On the domestic market, 739,100 LCD TVs were sold last month, up 33% year on year, while 672,000 LCD TVs were sold in the overseas market, reflecting a year-on-year jump of 190%.
Last month, the company saw sales of smart phones reach 367,200 units, air conditioners soar 37.92% from a year earlier to 472,300 units, refrigerators increase 35.51% year on year to 89,400 units and washing machines grow 4.87% to 50,400 units.
In the first four months of this year, TCL saw LCD TV sales total 4.73 million units, up 69.73% from a year earlier.
