Jan. 23, 2013 (China Knowledge) - The gross domestic product in Sichuan Province in Southwest China grew 12.6% YoY to RMB 2.38 trillion in 2012, according to the latest statistics released by the Sichuan Statistics Bureau.
The growth was 4.8 percentage points higher than the national average.
Last year, the province saw its primary industry generate RMB 329.72 billion in GDP, 4.5% more than it realized in a year earlier.
Meanwhile, RMB 1.26 trillion and RMB 796.48 billion were generated in the secondary sector and the tertiary sector, 15.4% and 11.2% more than in 2011, respectively.
In 2012, the province's fixed-asset investment grew 19.3% YoY to RMB 1.8 trillion.
