Jan 14, 2015 (China Knowledge) - China, the world's second largest oil consumer after the U.S., imported 33.19 million tonnes of crude oil in Dec, 21.4% more than in a month earlier, according to the latest figures from China's General Administration of Customs.
In 2015, the country saw its import volume of crude oil reach 335.50 million tonnes, up 8.8% from the year before, while the import value fell 40.54% to RMB 833.28 billion.
On Dec 2015, China's import volume and value of refined oil totaled 2.84 million tons and RMB 7.52 billion respectively.
In full-year 2015, the country saw its import volume of refined oil reach 29.90 million tonnes, reflecting a decrease of 0.33% from the previous year.
Meanwhile, the import value of refined oil shed 38.46% from the corresponding period of 2014 to RMB 88.61 billion.
