Dec. 27, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw its clean energy output increase 24.7% YoY to 887 terawatt hours (TWh) in the first eleven months of this year, according to statistic released by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
The figure accounted for 20.2% of the country's total electricity output during the eleven-month period.
From January to November, China generated 707.8 TWhs from hydroelectric power, up 26.7% from a year earlier, while its nuclear power and wind power output for the period rose 13.3% and 35.2% YoY to 89.3 TWhs and 89.9 TWhs, respectively.
As of the end of last month, the country added 13.12 million kilowatt of installed hydroelectric power capacity and 8.22 million kW of installed wind power capacity.
