Sep 21, 2017 (China Knowledge) – 2017 World Robot Conference (WRC) gathered world's leading companies and experts in robot technology to show their latest achievements held at the Beijing International Exhibition & Convention Center located in Beijing E-Town, a triple-A rated industrial park home to many hi-tech clusters including robot R&D, design and innovation center.
This year's theme arounds on win-win collaborative innovation towards building of intelligent society the forums and exhibition was supported by Beijing municipal government, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Association for Science and Technology and other related institutions. The 3 days’ forum gathered over 300 experts and enterprise representatives from top universities, research institutions and related enterprises, exchanging views on outlook for robot industry.
One of the main attractions to the participants is the exhibit and discussion on Belt and Road Initiative, a development strategy proposed by China's paramount leader Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian countries, primarily China, the land-based Silk Road Economic Belt and the oceangoing Maritime Silk Road China-centered trading network.
With China having the largest number of neighboring bordered countries (15), its proximity to a few dozen other countries in the north, south and south-east Asia; Eurasian region, Russia and east Europe linking to the grand global infrastructure and trade interconnectivity makes China the epicenter and global trading hub.
Other hidden gems on China already behemoth market is the country emerging regional economic circles and megalopolis. Take for the case of Robot4U at the show, China’s first provider of intelligent robot platform services in the FMCG, financial, airport, medicine and smart city, which set up a R&D center in Beijing E-Town. The locality provides the accessibility to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei industrial corridor, a megalopolis and large market.
This year the shows attracted KUKA, ABB, Festo, Siasun, HRZZAT and other world's leading robotic-related companies displaying cut-edge technology and application in every node of the industry.
Beijing E-Town is now a global robot R&D, design and innovation center, with about 100 robot enterprises set up there which accounts for over 50% of the whole industry in Beijing.
