Introduction
Chongqing Changshou Chemical Industrial Park (Chongqing Changshou CIP) was approved and established by the Chongqing municipal government in 2001 as a municipal-level development park.

Chongqing Changshou CIP is located in Changshou District, 50 km from Jiangbei International Airport, which ranked 9th in terms of passenger throughput in China in 2011. The Chongqing-Huaihua Railway and the Chongqing-Lichuan Railway run through the park, while Chongqing-Shanghai Freeway and Chongqing-Fuzhou Freeway intersect in the park. Additionally, Chongqing Changshou CIP is adjacent to the Changshou Deepwater Port, which has an annual throughput of 20.9 million tons.

Investment Climate
Chongqing Changshou CIP has industrial bases for petrochemicals, natural gas chemicals, chlor-alkali chemicals, biological chemicals, fine chemicals and new materials. Approximately 72 enterprises in these industries have established businesses in the park. They include 13 Fortune 500 companies such as BP, Sinopec, China National Petroleum, BASF, Linde Gas, Praxair, Dalkia, Degussa and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, along with 20 domestic listed companies such as Sinochem International and Yunnan Yuntianhua. Their total contracted investment amounts to RMB 60 billion.

The Chongqing Branch of Sinopec Sales Co Ltd was set up in Chongqing Changshou CIP in December 2007 with an investment of RMB 200 million. The company engages mainly in the operation of compressed natural gas filling stations.

Additionally, in March 2008, Dalkia, the European leader in energy services, and Chongqing Changyang Thermal Energy, a local energy service company, jointly invested RMB 3 billion in constructing a 400-MW thermal power plant in Chongqing Changshou CIP. When it is complete, the thermal power plant will supply enough steady energy to meet the needs of all the enterprises located in the park.

In the first half of 2012, the park expects the gross industrial output value to reach RMB 28.3 billion, and the utilized FDI exceeded US$230 million. The total import and export value hit US$400 million.
