Shanghai Zhujing Industrial Park (Shanghai Zhujing IP), formerly known as Zhujing Town Industrial Zone, is situated in the southwestern part of Shanghai, the economic and financial hub of China. Covering an area of 2.47 sq km, Shanghai Zhujing IP won approval to be a municipal-level development zone from the Shanghai municipal government in 2006.

The park lies in Zhujing Town in Jinshan District. Zhujing Town is on the border of Shanghai and Zhejiang Province in the southern part of the Yangtze River Delta and is easily accessible. It is within half an hour's drive of the People's Square, the city center of Shanghai, and within one hour of Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province. Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport are located 50 km and 80 km from the town, respectively, while Shanghai Port is within one hour's drive. Highway A30, the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway and the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway are 15 km from the town, while State Highway 320 runs directly through it.

Investment Climate
The major industries of Shanghai Zhujing IP are machinery, metal products processing and textiles. The park also encourages investment in auto parts, furniture manufacturing, logistics and warehousing.

In 2012,the gross industrial output of the zone reached RMB 10.14 billion, jumping 138.51% from a year earlier.

By the end of 2012, a total of 14 foreign-invested projects had been set up in the zone and its cumulative contracted FDI hit US$70.01 million. Major investors include Shanghai Hantech, Litong Decoration Articles (Shanghai) and other domestic firms.

  • The park enjoys easy access to transportation in Zhujing Town and has an advantageous geographic location on the border between Zhejiang Province and Shanghai. It benefits from the economic development of Shanghai and Zhejiang.

  • The park does not have a developed industrial base. Its economy is still small compared with the economies of other parks in Shanghai.
