Shanghai Pudong Heqing Industrial Park (Shanghai Pudong Heqing IP), formerly known as Heqing County Industrial Zone, is located in the eastern part of Pudong New Area in Shanghai. The park was approved as a municipal-level development zone by the Shanghai municipal government in 2006 and has an area of 4.52 sq km.

Shanghai Pudong Heqing IP is within 20 minutes’ driving distance of five state-level development zones in Shanghai: Shanghai Caohejing Development Zone, Shanghai Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone and Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Park.

The park is easily accessible via air and railways, as it takes only 8 minutes to reach Shanghai Pudong International Airport, 12 minutes to reach the Shanghai New Railway Station and 20 minutes to reach Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. The Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, the Shanghai-Jiading-Liuhe Expressway and the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway link the park with other major cities in the Yangtze River Delta. Shanghai Port, which was the largest port in China by container traffic in 2013, is a 15-minute drive away.

Investment Climate
Major industries in the Shanghai Pudong Heqing Industrial Park are photovoltaics, automobiles and automobile parts, and medical instruments manufacturing. The park was approved as the "East Section of Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Park" by the Shanghai Pudong government in 2006. Shanghai Zhangjiang Modern Medical Instrument Park, with an investment of RMB 1.2 billion, is located in Pudong Heqing IZ. It covers an area of 1.1 sq km.

In 2013, the zone’s gross industrial output increased 3.8% year on year RMB 13.88 billion. The park attracted 4 foreign invested projects in 2013, the contracted FDI reached US$ 230 million. By the end of 2013, over 80 foreign invested projects had launched in the park. Major investors in the park include Dinova, Yamato, Shanghai Foster Wine Making, East Hope, Haima Automobile and Cooper Industries.

Haima Automobile Group, a leading auto maker based in Hainan Province in China, launched Shanghai Haima Automobile R&D Co Ltd in the park . The unit, covering an area of 12,500 sq m, is a complete vehicle research center for Haima Automobile.
