China Knowledge successfully launched Eternal Pillars (Apr. 3 – Apr. 26), an exhibition at the Singapore National Library featuring a selection from the paintings of the well-traveled Mr. Lee Khoon Choy.
The guest of honor for the invitation-only opening reception was His Excellency, President SR Nathan. To signal the opening of the exhibition, His Excellency and Mr. Lee unveiled Mr. Lee’s painting of Mount Everest following a speech by Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee spoke briefly on his travels and on the importance of painting in his life, and emphasized the value of establishing creative hobbies that can last a lifetime.
The event was attended by numerous foreign ambassadors and members and former members of parliament, as well as family and long-time friends of Mr. Lee. The event was recorded and will become part of a documentary on Mr. Lee’s lifelong journey as an artist.
The exhibition showcases a selection of paintings highlighting the majesty and splendor of mountains around the world.
Lee Khoon Choy is a prominent politician and diplomat, as well as journalist, painter, calligrapher and musician.
